Chandrataal Lake
In the Spiti area of Himachal Pradesh, India, there is a high altitude alpine lake with the name of Chandratal Lake, also referred to as "Moon Lake." It is one of the most well-liked trekking locations in the area and is located at a height of 4,300 metres above sea level. A little settlement in the Spiti valley called Batal is the starting point of the approximately 14 km long trip to Chandratal Lake. The fairly challenging trek gives beautiful views of the neighbouring mountain ranges while traversing rocky terrain and glaciers. A meadow in the shape of a crescent surrounds the lake and is a well-liked location for campers.
